MD Joris Smet on Inside Business – ‘Brexit and Border Business’

Managing Director, Joris Smet was delighted to represent Smet Building Products Ltd in BBC Radio Ulster‘s Inside Business programme, ‘Brexit and Border Business’ hosted Dr. Wendy Austin MBE in Newry Arts Centre on Friday 29th March.

The programme which aired on Sunday morning (link below) was looking at businesses in the City, the difficulties faced in the current uncertainty, and the potential short & long term impact of Brexit.

Joris, being a Dutch National living in Newry for over 16 years and having founded his company SMET here, is certainly in a unique position. SMET imports superior-quality, German-made, innovate building materials through the ports of Antwerp and Dublin which are then distributed into both the UK and ROI.
